This newly renovated, handcrafted, 1 bdrm/1 bath home sits on its own wooded lot, just minutes from Bass Harbor Headlight, Seawall, Wonderland, and Ship Harbor Beaches and trails. Smell the salt air and wake up in MDI's biggest Lobster Harbor. Fresh seafood, sunsets, lobster boat tours, trails and beaches all right here. The property offers a spacious Lawn, outdoor grill and fire-pit! Inside you'll love the hardwood floors, and full kitchen. Master bedroom as well as 2 sofa beds makes a total of 3 separate sleeping areas for up to 6 people.

Lovely place for our family vacation

We’re so glad we booked this home. It had just the right amount of space for our family of four; we didn’t want a hotel room or a large home. One of our daughters used the loft futon and the other decided to use the foldout couch; both slept well. We were busy exploring the island and park so didn’t spend too much time at the home during the morning and afternoon, but it was the perfect place to end the day. The house was very clean, well cared for, and nicely furnished. Construction seemed recent and well done. It had just about everything we needed and was easy to find things such as extra sheets for the fold out couch. We liked the access to a washer and dryer. The kitchen had most items to prep a couple of breakfasts and dinners. The host was easy to communicate with and responsive. The location was convenient to Southwest Harbor and restaurants. The setting is very pleasant. We appreciated being away from the busiest areas of the island and still felt like it was easy to get around. We hope to be back to explore more!

fantastic VRBO

We had a wonderful visit to Acadia while staying in this VRBO. The cottage is clean with lots of natural light. The host answered questions quickly and was extremely helpful. We appreciated the whole-house water filtration system, as the groundwater in the area isn't great.

Hiking in Acadia

We had a great time in this darling house! Very familiar with Mount Desert Island, we chose to stay on the quiet side of the island. W hope to return next year!

Acadia visit

Neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy at first but actually was fine though next to cemetery. Beds were hard and supplies were minimal but overall adequate. Host replied immediately when we had an issue with the tv.

Cute. But no ac

Loved the cottage. It was on a quiet street. Our problems were not having any ac in July. The one bedroom is upstairs and the only bathroom is downstairs. Few windows need shades badly. It wakes you up with the sun if you sleep on the futon or sofabed. Overall cute property.
