If you want to be in the middle of winter sport action (skiing/tubing/skating) this a great property. Some people may not appreciate the lights, noise, and nightly machine maintenance that go along with being slope side but we loved it. The house is large and easily accommodated our family of 6\. The furniture/decor is comfortable and practical for groups with plenty of room to store your skis and boots. The host was quick to respond to the questions we had throughout our stay. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but it appears to have all the necessary items. Bathrooms were adequately stocked with nice towels and washclothes. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Owner was extremely friendly and responsive and the chalet had everything we could possibly need. It is beautifully decorated with nice upgraded bathrooms and skylights for natural lighting. Great view from balcony. Kitchen has very nice appliances. I liked that it was high enough up for a beautiful view but not so high up that driving up to it would make your stomach turn. Very private at a dead end road. Quick access to Sugar Mountain and other nearby towns like Banner Elk, Beech Mountain.
