The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, even though their English is very limited (same as our Thai). The room we stayed in this time was in a little bader shape than the other one, but we were still very, very happy. Moscitos can be very annoying in the evenings outside (bring repellent) , so make sure the door is closed so they don't come in. This time we stayed with friends who had just arrived from Europe. They thought, the rooms are small and not so perfectly clean... Dieses Hotel ist in unseren Augen unübertrefflich. Es ist ruhig gelegen und doch sehr zentral. Man kann gemütlich vor den Zimmern sitzen, den Vögeln und Geckos lauschen. Das inmitten von Bangkok - grandios! Best place we ever stayed in Bangkok, we will definitely be back. We stayed here over a week and enjoyed every moment of our stay - sitting in front of your room, listening to birds and geckos and that in the middle of Bangkok next to the river - unbeatable! It's cheap so you won't get a lot service but the air conditioner ist very good and it's quite comfortable if you don't have too high expectations. It's near the Thewet Pier so you can get easily into the city by taking the Chao Praya Express Boat which is always a little adventure and cheap! There was a dead roach on the floor when we checked in. If you don't plan to stay in your room at all during your stay this should be sufficient for sleep and shower. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
