The resort was very quiet, and the surrounding atmosphere was impressive. I wish they should upgrade the range in the kitchen for cooking and shower bathroom. The huge balcony had doors connecting from both bedrooms and the living room, and gave us a beautiful view of trees and lake on the property. The kitchen was also fully stocked with dishes so that we could easily enjoy breakfast and make picnic lunches for our day trips to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Such a cute place, we weren’t there a whole lot, we spent most of our times in the parks, but it was clean, had everything we needed. The guy at the front was super friendly and helpful. He as a quiet place to stay with a nice big sign knowing where to enter. We stayed in the guest suite. Also loved that they had a washer and dryer on site! We can’t say enough good things about this cozy little place. We had the cabin next to the adorable little library. The room was clean and warm when we arrived. Joseph was the person who lives on property and he was wonderful! He helped us get checked in the first night and gave us some pointers for our trip the next day to Sequoia NP. We loved how quiet the property was and enjoyed our morning coffee out walking the resort. We stayed in the suite, which was like a studio apartment. Dog friendly a plus, however there are many cats living on the property!! Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees. There are no groceries nearby and very sparce restaurants which the property was clear about so we got groceries in Fresno before driving up. The kitchen has enough utensils for simple meals. Coffee and a few essentials like cooking oil, salt and pepper were provided. Overall a little dated but clean.
