Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem

Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem

8/10 Good
"This is a pretty boutique hotel, and we had a very nice room and bathroom. We didn't have any hand soap or body wash for the shower--I am sure they just forgot-- but the room had nice amenities, such as a minibar, easy to use plugs, big towels, plenty of light, all in all it was clean and comfortable. There is an elevator inside, but this is simply not an accessible building--even with the elevator, there are places with steps, and up to the front entrance is a good set of stone stairs! There is off street parking at the hotel, but it is at a pretty serious incline, and it is NOT easy to get out of. Mostly one has to back out, down the hill. Helpful staff, a nice breakfast, decent location near a lot of places to eat. We had a very pleasant stay."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bačkovík?
The best area to stay in Bačkovík is directly within the village centre, particularly around the main road, Hlavná ulica.

This area offers the most convenient access to local amenities and is the heart of the village. Hlavná ulica runs through the middle of Bačkovík, with most of the local shops, services, and accommodation options situated along or just off it. It's a relatively compact and quiet area, making it easy to get around on foot.

For couples looking for a tranquil escape, staying in the village centre provides easy access to the scenic surroundings. You'll be well-placed to enjoy walks in the nearby fields and forests, and the unhurried pace of village life is ideal for a relaxing break. There are usually a few guesthouses or private rentals that offer a more intimate experience.

Families travelling with children will also find the village centre appealing due to its calm environment. Children can enjoy the open spaces around the village, and the lack of busy traffic makes it a pleasant place for outdoor activities.
When is the best time to go to Bačkovík?
The best time to visit Bačkovík is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures ideal for enjoying outdoor activities and exploring the natural beauty of the region. You'll find the countryside green and lush in spring, and the autumn brings beautiful colours to the surrounding forests.

For travellers who enjoy hiking and nature walks, these months are perfect. They avoid the intense heat of summer and the colder temperatures of winter, making for a more enjoyable experience on the trails and around the Bačkovík reservoir.
