Escape to Onion Creek Cottage in Manchaca, Texas! Our beautifully decorated vacation rental is perfect for families, friends or couples. Enjoy the spacious backyard and front patio where you can relax and watch wildlife. Keep an eye out for the longhorns from the nearby ranch - they might just wander over to say hello!

Centrally located between South Austin and the charming town of San Marcos. Enjoy delightful dining options in nearby South Austin and Buda, where you can savor local flavors and experience the lively atmosphere. Experience a joyful retreat that promises both relaxation and adventure.

The cottage is suitable for a weekend visit or a 6 month stay with a fully equipped kitchen and beautiful furnishings. Imagine sipping a glass of wine on our lovely Sunporch. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed while the second bedroom has 2 twins. The sunroom has a queen sofa sleeper. It has a beautiful full sized fully equipped kitchen and breakfast table, a laundry room and a comfortable outside patio with a table where 6-8 can dine and a BBQ pit and smoker! There is a TV in the master and the sunroom, and there is also wireless internet.

Our home is located on the same 6 acre property so if you need anything we are close! The other vacation rental on this average is Bear Creek Cottage. It sleeps 4 people. All of the properties are within walking distance of each other but none are visible to one another.

Nearby to Austin festivals and F1 Circuit of the Americas track. We are located between two wedding venues: The Wild Onion Ranch and Humming Bird House. Two miles from the Vineyard at Chappel Hill. Located 15 minutes from downtown Austin, and 45 minutes from San Antonio, this property makes it convenient to visit surrounding Hill Country and towns such as Buda, Kyle, Wimberly, New Braunfels, Gruene, San Marcos, Dripping Springs and Driftwood. Perfect location to maximize your experience by being near Austin's museums, restaurants, music venues and nightlife as well as spending time in the countryside tubing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, fishing, etc. We are near the Onion Creek Country Club, a 5 minutes from Cabela’s.

Parking is in front of the cottage only. We can accommodate 3 cars - give us a call if you need more parking. We do not allow events but a dinner gathering for 6-8 people is fine.

MotoGP

A small group of us stayed here to use as a home base for the MotoGP races. My wife and daughter explored Austin while the rest of us went to the races. The house was perfect, good location, very pretty property. Close enough to be convenient, but far enough away so you weren't in the city. Everything was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hosts were outstanding, very good communication with them. Check in/out process was great too, very easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice cottage!

Our son got married at The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and this was a great location. Everything was laid out well in the cottage. We were able to have our meals together and we enjoyed the Longhorns next door! We loved how we were not in a neighborhood! Highly recommend!

Perfect Family Spot

This stay is so cheery with all the touches, floral designs, very comfortable beds, and a wonderful sunroom with a TV where the entire family can comfortably gather to watch a movie. It has the coolest vintage stove/range/oven ever, and it works great. My grandsons want me to stay here every time I come back!

Sweet Spot

This was a perfect stay for my two grandsons and me for a fun Christmas weekend. The cottage was decorated for Christmas and there were fun sparkling lights outside as well. Very clean, and just the right size for us. Charming!

Such a cute house!

My sisters and I booked this as a surprise trip for my mom and we had an absolute blast! The house was in such great location and super easy to find. We came in at night and the owners had left the lights on for us which was greatly appreciated. Everything we needed to know for our stay was communicated really well. I would definitely recommend staying here. The house was adorable and exactly what we needed for our weekend!

Nieves wedding

We stayed for two nights to attend my nieces wedding. The wedding venue was a mile away. We became a stopping point for other family to get dressed etc. we were able to have our privacy, relaxing views, and accommodate both my toddler and elderly father. Everything was wonderfully clean, and very comfortable. A lot of good talks took place about my mom (she passed a year ago) and how much she would have loved the decor. If back in the area we will stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Onion Creek Cottage. Waking up to longhorns at the fence, made for awesome coffee mornings. The property was so quaint, with cozy and comfortable furnishings, and the hosts made it clear to let them know if we needed anything. I’ll definitely stay again when I come back to town.
