The water right outside the back was often in low tide when we went, so we got to dip our toes in the water and walk around in the shallow part every day. It’s rocky and a tad slippery on the red rocks so I recommend bringing water shoes there. I’d imagine it would be safe for kids to play at, too, with the right kind of supervision. The area is very quiet. Spotted seals, ospreys, crabs, and so on.
