No-one on the other side of the walls as in a motel was great. We really enjoyed that privacy of our lovely standalone house. A view over to the hills instead of another building. Excellent walking location for food, supermarket, great takeouts, and short travel to beaches, vineyards. The one bedroom unit was spacious and private. The furniture was comfortable. Lacking: kitchen utensils and crockery was minimal (no potato peeler, no decent knives for cutting, one teaspoon, only one bowl). Our stay was a week and was over Christmas - so we weren't able to cook the food we had planned as the kitchen was so lacking. We had checked the website and it had said it was a "full kitchen" and had an electric frying pan - we had to ask for one of those, which was promptly provided. The compendium in the unit said our unit would be serviced daily. We had a lady come by 3 times when we were there and gave us fresh towels - but it would have been nice if they had emptied our rubbish and wiped the bathroom floor (ours was the accessible shower so a wet floor). Good location for walking to Ostend shops, but had to drive everywhere else - glad we had a car. ##### val b.
