Great location with Trader Joes and Whole Foods near by if you want to cook. Be aware they only had coffee, salt and pepper. There is a bakery and restaurant down stairs and a Starbucks at the end of the block. You are also within walking distance to downtown. The walls are thin and we did hear noise from the other apartments including one where a loud party was taking place, and you will hear traffic noise. This was located just right fus us to hike, explore downtown and other parts of Ashville. The Biltmore was less than 20 minutes away, we hiked Triple falls and spent the day at the River Arts district. Everything was super close. We loved having the bakery downstairs for coffee and breakfast. We also had dinner at the restaurant below the apartment. We took evening walks through the neighborhood and felt safe the whole time. The apartment is small but fine for the two of us, we kept our bathroom items on the kitchen counter. We could only access one plug in the bedroom and it was on other side of the room, so our phones could not be next to us. All these things were not issues for a bad review, just things to note. Easy to access and had all the amenities needed for a long weekend stay. Conveniently located for a very short drive to Downtown. There were 2 nearby grocery stores if you wished to buy some items to get you through the weekend. Although the following did not bother me as much, it is worth nothing that there was plenty of traffic noise since it is located on a busy street, the window shades did not provide a lot of cover so plenty of light came in early in the morning, and the walls were thin so you could hear the neighbors. Being above Bone and Broth and City Bakery was very convenient. I'd recommend both! Walking distance to downtown Asheville which was nice on the warmer nights. The major con for this property is that you hear everything going on around you. It's a historic building so I assume it comes with the territory. Lots of traffic noise, it's as if the windows are open at all times. We brought a fan with us which helped drown it out, but if you are a light sleeper, this place may not be for you.
