« This is our 3rd stay at “The Getaway.”It’s a wonderful place for all ages. If you need a break and place to reset from the daily grind this is the sanctuary to do so. We enjoy the quiet to read and reconnect with family on the porch over a cup of coffee or a meal at the table. Our family enjoys playing card or board games or walks down to the river. We always come home refreshed! Abby is a gracious host who provides an inviting atmosphere for all to enjoy! We look forward to returning this Fall. »

« The property is conveniently located to downtown Pagosa. Large lot with a lot of space to spread out (bring your binoculars), walk, relax outside or soak in the clean hot tub.The exterior of the house could use some spider web removal etc. and the weeds need to be trimmed back so driveway is easier to navigate. We spent most of our time outside which is why we rented the property on 3 acres. Sleeping pillows are nice and fluffy. Internet was functional (no problems) but cellular reception...

« The cabin was very authentic, it was very comfortable and clean. The beds were awesome and we all slept well! It had many of the kitchen items we needed for cooking. It is not in a wooded area, the area around it has other cabins and some have hot tubs. We didn't use the group hot tub, we were too busy. It had a bbq grill and picnic table outside and we sat out and watched the stars both nights we were there. Because it is an older cabin, there were not alot of plug ins for all of our devices,...

« As we are space aficionados, we loved this house. After ski, we could relax, use the hot tub, and enjoyed the fireplaces when it was started to snow outside. The kitchen was sufficiently staffed, some more pans could be useful as we were mostly cooking ourselves. The home is located on the way up to the wolf pass and the ski region, so we saved some time driving. It appears also an excellent location for fly fishing in summer. »
