Great hotel ideally located just a 10 minute bus journey from the centre. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the cafe downstairs was great.

Even though it wasn’t a traditional check in, the online process was easy. The staff that were present were also helpful and easy to reach. The room and bathroom was clean, and the bed was extremely comfy! I would stay at poppies again.

My stay was fantastic from start to finish! The entire hotel was impeccably clean, and my room felt spotless and fresh the moment we walked in. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the staff. Every single team member I interacted with—from the front desk during a smooth check-in to the housekeeping crew—was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. I couldn’t have asked for better service and will definitely return!"

We had the best stay. Staff are amazing, the rooms fresh and bathrooms awesome. Had to play a bit of tetris to move around with 2adults with large suitcases. But that's about the only thing I could fault. Oh and the food....yu.mmm

The room was small (as expected) but so cozy! We found ourselves struggling getting over the jet lag because we wanted to stay holed in our room. The AC one night had an error over night and wasn’t cooling but went away in the morning, after researching seems the error was “an obstruction was blocking the outer fan” so a bird maybe made a home in the wrong spot overnight. The Cafe food was very delicious and had great egg options for breakfast, didn’t try the dinner though but going off what we had in the morning I’m sure it’s just as delicious. I would recommend this stay to friends in the future and the community around poppies is a great place to explore and has many other great food options!

The only reason I would not give this a full five star review was the price. (We paid €165) It’s a very small room (for some people that would be a turn-off) but very well-designed and an efficient use of the limited space with many thoughtful touches that made our stay easier and more comfortable. Excellent bed. Great shower. Easy access and located in an obviously up and coming neighborhood. Many cool cafes along the 26-minute walk from the ferry.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The restaurant of the hotel is excellent, breakfast was delicious!!! The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the ferry, which takes you across to Amsterdam Centraal Station and the city center. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable stay in a peaceful area while still having easy access to the main attractions.

A basic en suite room with air conditioning. We needed a place to stay within easy reach of Centraal station and an early departure. Poppies fitted the bill and had plenty of food options nearby.
