Great central location, walking distance to everything, charming property. Typical narrow, steep staircase expected in a building of this age and in this location. Great staff. The restaurant downstairs is spectacular.

Liked the location, great restaurant, quaint building. It needs a fresh up, carpet is stained, bathroom floor is soaked after a shower. Bed was ok. We would not stay here unless it gets an upgrade.

Staff helpful. Room clean. More form than function. No soap for shower. Mirror above sink was way over my head. Unusable. No rack for towels by sink. Coffee bag makes weak brew. No sugar or cream provided. Ear plugs are provided thankfully. Looks like a quiet area but it parties hard

The stairs were so steep it was ridiculous. Staff had to carry our bags to and from our room. No minibar. Room was in the attic, very little headroom over the bed. Not great considering what the room had cost. Staff were very friendly though.

This hotel was in the most lovely neighbourhood, surrounded by cute shops and cafes, and right near the most scenic bridges and canal views. The restaurant underneath the hotel was amazing, I had such a wonderful meal there! All of the staff at Hotel Callisto were so kind, friendly and lovely. I loved my stay so much!

Cece was very helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated the free pastries/bread from the local coffee/bakery across the street. Coffee was best I’ve had, Hotel is right in city center next to so many different things to do. Will definitely come back!

We were disappointed with our stay, especially given the hotel’s 9+ Expedia rating and the excellent reviews. The room did not look like the photos and was very dated, with mismatched older furniture, worn carpet, and mould in the bathroom. We also found hair on my partner’s socks which was not mine. The location is good and the price was reasonable, and the staff member who helped us was pleasant and responsive. However, we seriously considered leaving after seeing the room and unfortunately would not stay here again. The hotel may work for some travellers, but our experience did not match the expectations set by the ratings and photos.

Room spacious, clean and beautifully designed. Staircase up to the top floor is quite steep but you're rewarded with a spacious room, large bed and air-conditioning (very much needed if visiting during a heatwave). Area is perfect for both central Amsterdam and the beautiful Jordaan neighbourhood. Would absolutely recommend.
