« The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied. »

« It is a great property in a lovely rural location, yet only a mile or so from Alston. Furnished to a high standard the cottage had all you could need for a comfortable stay (even though we picked a very wet 2-3 days). We enjoyed our all-to-brief stay, and look forward to returning, hopefully when the weather is better and we can enjoy the outside patio area with it's wonderful views. »

« We stayed 1 night. Our studio--sitting room, large bathroom, and bedroom--was very spacious with many amenities: coffee/water/materials for eating in. Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. »
