This breathtaking home provides total privacy & panoramic views across the Middle Fork Valley to the Mosquito Range. The five-bedroom home has an open floor plan and spacious outdoor deck, offers comfortable living space for larger groups of families and friends. This gorgeous home is a 30-minute drive to Breckenridge’s world-class ski resort and multiple 14ers, making it the ideal spot for those looking to enjoy all the area has to offer! The Space: This spacious custom timber frame home will wow your group from the moment you arrive. As you enter the front door, take in the detailed wood beams and soaring windows that create a bright luxurious ambiance that welcomes you in. Straight inside, you will find the great room with two leather armchairs and a large leather sofa sectional. Covering the wall of this room are windows that boast stunning mountain and forest views. With cozy seating and unbeatable views, this space will quickly become a gathering place for your group. Just off of the great room, you will find the spacious dining area with seating for 10\. Ideally situated between the great room and kitchen, you will find this a perfect place for dining or playing cards while staying close to the group. In this space, you will find patio doors with door-length windows, adding even more natural light to the space. Conveniently walk directly out these doors to the large outdoor deck where you will find a hot tub, outdoor grill, patio chairs, and a comfortable outdoor couch with seating for 9\. With plenty of room for the entire group and outdoor lighting, this will become a favorite space in the home to take in the breathtaking views by day and stargaze by night. Back inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a bar/serving area with seating for 4 that serves as an ideal bridge between the dining area and the kitchen. This dazzling space with granite countertops and abundant cabinet and counter space is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a meal for your group. No one will complain about doing dishes thanks to the over-the-sink window with views over the aspen trees on the property. Through the kitchen, you will find the mud room perfect for storing gear or doing laundry. This space enters the garage, making a convenient path into the home to easily unload luggage, equipment, and other essentials. Heading to the other side of the great room, you will find the luxurious master bedroom. This beautiful space boasts a king-size bed, nightstands, a roomy walk-in closet, a sitting area with large windows overlooking the scenery, private doors out to the outdoor deck, and its own en suite bathroom. The en suite bathroom features a spacious dual-sink vanity, a walk-in shower, and a spa bathtub with large windows overlooking the surrounding alpine beauty. Just steps from the master bedroom, you will come to an open stairwell that will take you up to the loft area, which offers a great space for work with a desk, lamp, and chair available. Or use the area for fun and relaxation as you enjoy the views overlooking the main level, take in the charm from the exposed wood beams, or relax on the sofa, which can be turned into a pull-out queen bed. Back on the main level of the home, you will find a half bathroom conveniently located in the entryway for easy access. Directly across the half bathroom, you will find a second set of stairs that will take you down to the newly renovated lower level of the home. Here you will find a welcoming living room, complete with a large sectional sofa, a 55” flat-screen TV, and a comfortable bench seat with storage. Get easy access to the lower outdoor area from this space through the patio door. Three bedrooms are found downstairs, in addition to a full guest bathroom with a large, single-sink vanity and a shower/tub combo. The first two downstairs bedrooms each offer a bright and cozy space to rest and relax with queen-size beds, nightstands, and a private door outside. Enjoy the views of the alpine forest while laying in bed thanks to the large, bright windows that fill these rooms with natural light. The third downstairs bedroom makes efficient use of space with two sets of twin bunk beds providing ample sleeping space. The fourth bedroom is a second en-suite with a king-size bed and a three-quarter bath. This spacious room has space to spread out and relax with a desk and chair, dresser, and nightstands to use. The beautifully updated three-quarter bath has a modern double-sink vanity and a walk-in shower with a glass door. Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire home and outdoor spaces (including hot tub), as well as parking for as many as four vehicles in the garage/driveway. The Neighborhood: This home is located in beautiful Alma, a quaint mountain town full of history, charm, and abundant outdoor adventures. Alma is known as being the highest incorporated town in North America sitting at 10,361 ft! The area is a gateway to endless outdoor adventures with several 14ers in close proximity. While in the area, head to one of the historic mining towns such as Buckskin Joe. Head the 10 miles over to Mosquito Pass, one of Colorado’s highest mountain passes that provides stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. Or make the 30-minute trip to Breckenridge, where you can hit the ski slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort or stroll Main Street and explore the many shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums there. Getting Around: This home is located just off Highway 9 - the main highway in the area that runs from Alma and Fairplay up to Blue River and Breckenridge to the north. Its close proximity to this major highway and Highway 285 makes it easy to get on the road wherever your adventures take you. This area is known for its proximity to many of the area’s wonderful outdoor adventure locations, such as Breckenridge Ski Resort and several 14ers, such as Mount Quandary and Mount Cross. The Summit Stage Free Bus' Park County Commuter Route stops in both Fairplay and Alma and will provide FREE transport all the way into Breckenridge. Other Things to Note: Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please also note that there are 3 steps to the entrance of the home. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. The house itself is amazing and wonderful. So peaceful and everything you would hope for in a mountain home. The views are incredible. Close to hiking trails. And if you are looking for a location to take in almost all of Colorado this house gives you a great location to travel north (RMNP), south (GSDNP & Royal Gorge), east (Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak & Manitou Incline), and west (Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Mesa Verde NP). We took in the state and this home’s location provided a great “home base”. The house itself was so comfortable and inviting. We grilled burgers, sat on the deck and absolutely loved hanging out in the living room in the comfortable furniture while taking in the incredible views. We saw moose while hiking. Chipmunks scurrying around the home and the sounds of the birds in the trees was so relaxing. It was hard to leave such a beautiful home where so many great memories were made. From booking to checkout the entire experience was wonderful. This is a great team to work with. We hope to go back and stay again. ##### Barbara W. We had a large group of 9 staying for a week, and had the options of gathering as a large group in the upstairs and downstairs living areas, dining room, and back deck; or retreating to our separate spaces in the bedrooms when needed. Being a foodie and cook for this large group I truly appreciated the fully stocked kitchen! Everyone in our group could not get over the view from the huge peaks to the beautiful Aspens surrounding to the smallest mountain flowers. Seating enough for a large group on the back deck to enjoy. Home was very clean and in great condition. Garage area was great for multiple cars to park. Loved the huge windows in living room and the comfortable furniture. Our kiddos enjoyed the stocked downstairs with games and puzzles. It was nice to be a very short distance to welcoming small towns Alma and Fairplay, and a short jaunt to Breckinridge. Recommend a visit to Al-Mart, Bristlecone bakery, and Kiki's fruit stand in Alma and in Fairplay for groceries I recommend Prather's Market, and whether you're a history buff or not you must see South Park City museum. A meal must stop is Casa Sanchez in Fairplay, and Empire Burger in Breckinridge. For those that love outdoors and hiking we recommend Hoosier Ridge Loop Trail and Blue Lake Falls. All in all this was a beautiful home with an amazing view that has many things to do and see very nearby. I had no complaints, but when I did have a question about a door lock I was responded to immediately! ##### Elizabeth H. The property was spacious with such an amazing view!
