« This cabin is wonderful! Large enough to comfortable fit our family of 5. The basement was a wonderful addition making it a fun game room at night for the kids. All the details in the decor were beautiful. But the most amazing part was the view! They even had a small nature walk which our young kids loved. »

« Despite proximity to a variety of outdoor explorations, this cabin’s super power is the escape within. The feel of a large wooded estate shrunken to a small cabin on a 1/2 acre (only a guess) lot. Beautiful and varied landscape to meander and rest that is within only a few steps. Even the gentle, never seen, sounds of a large housing neighborhood seem to fade into the relaxation and reflection. Highly recommend. « We very much enjoyed our stay. Tucked away in the woods but quite close to Blowing Rock - it was a great choice. Would stay again! It took a few tries to figure out the K-cup side of the coffeemaker, as the guide is on the side you can’t see. And we’d have appreciated instructions for the LR TV and all the components. « My Sons and I had a wonderful stay at “The Big Rock” property. We woke up to deer eating the crab apples every morning. The large rock is a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the pond and scenery. We caught plenty of bluegill and a few small bass in the pond. There was also a little pontoon and kayak the kids had a blast using. We will hopefully be returning soon. Lance was by far the best Host I have ever encountered. Anything we needed or any question were answered right away.. »

« This cabin had the most well appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental. My kids have food allergies so we tend to cook on vacation and I was so blessed by the numerous baking pans, measuring cups/spoons, pots of every size, cutting boards, and tons of kitchen tools.
