« Attended a wedding 29th of may. The wedding event was excellent. Stayed in a garden room quirky and well maintained, a bit hot though. Now my real upsetting point. The joiners arms, my nephew who was getting married booked a table for 25 people, unfortunately 29 turned up. The host would not accomodate the 4 extra in even allowing of us to eat in the bar, her comment was to go and eat in seahouses. « First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). « Great location and views to die for. Parking a bit tight but lovely neighbours who were happy to move cars around. We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area. »

« Lovely, clean property in a great location. Everything as expected and house nice and warm. Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. Our party consisted of 3 adults, 2 children and 2 labradors and the property served us well! Plenty of room. « This house is outstanding. Elaine caters for everyone especially children and as we know when the kids are happy the adults can relax. We have stayed for the third time last weekend , it is such a central area with a beach minutes away also. We will be back certainly. »

« Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. « The property is very nice, nicely furnished and very clean. We did feel that it lacked in terms of things provided, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, just one USED dishcloth. No welcome pack with instructions, and parking was very confusing. We unpacked the car a the rear of the house, which upset the neighbour. We parked in the nearby public car park for the duration of our stay. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no live TV channels. »

"Cet hôtel a besoin d’entretient et de rénovations. C’est assez propre mais très vieillot. Ce n’est pas insonorisé. Les gens passent dans le corridor et c’est comme d’ils étaient dans la chambre. L’ameublement est défraîchi. Le petit déjeuner était bon. "
