« A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby. »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« Absolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location. We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect. »

« The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...

« We ended up staying one night of the three that we booked. This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly. »

« There was 7 ladies celebrating a 50th birthday, this accommodation was perfect, very clean, everything you could think of that you would need for a weekend or even if you were there longer, the accommodation was exactly like the pictures showed.
