![Butrint, a Unesco World Heritage site.
Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony (800 BC), a Roman city (44 BC) and a bishopric (5th centrury). Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development and that entity is unique. Moreover the ruines are situated in a beautiful natural setting.
The photo shows the famous baptistery, a major ruin from the 6th century and an ancient Roman monument adapted to the cultural needs of Christianity. « The hotel was lovely, very modern. Close to the beach, local restaurants and shops. The staff were so friendly that after moving to a different hotel in Ksamil that we had pre booked - on our way back (having checked out 4 days prior but sarenda is closer to the port and we had quite a few hours to kill) they let us store our suitcases there for no extra cost even helped us load them in and out the taxi. Cannot fault this hotel at all they could maybe use a pool but they’re so close to the sea...

« Stunning hotel! Definitely a splurge but totally worth it for the view and breakfast and the beautiful room. The late night terrace area is a vibe. My only note is that the hotel charged me again even after I paid via hotels.com (they claimed that I hadn't paid yet), and it was a bit of a hassle to get the refund, but I eventually got it so it all worked out in the end. »

Plage privée super sympa, eau transparente et calme. Points négatifs: Ils ne font pas à manger du tout, même des petits "snacks" pour la piscine ou la plage, dommage. Et également un peu bruyant autour la nuit. »

« Has a secluded private beach. Were a young couple and took 30 minutes walk to saranda promenade- quite a up hill walk and has alot of character because of residents nearby and cemetery. We always passed a black labrador dog who is really friendly and polite. The room isn’t that modern but has everything you need: Aircon, Smart TV: Netflix/Youtube. The shower pressure is also great. One tip is if you don’t want them to clean your room, tell them directly. We had the DND sign but they still did it...

« Vous cherchez un lieu paisible, clean et élégant ? Ne cherchez plus nous y avons passé 15 jours et c’est littéralement le meilleur hôtel que nous avons pu avoir. Le personnel est tellement gentil et serviable, l’hôtel est d’un calme et une propreté irréprochable. Les petits déjeuners sont frais et bio, la piscine est hyper bien entretenue comme les locaux. Je vous recommande +++ »

« Le patron est très gentil et serviable. En l’absence de taxi, il nous a lui même amené au centre Ville. Très propre et le service est bon. Seul Bémol, l’hôtel est loin du centre (environ 2,5km) et les taxis sont très peu disponibles en pleine saison. »
