Our only major hiccup was that the hosts provided ZERO communication, both prior and during our stay, and after numerous attempts to reach them. "There was no free breakfast, which completely surprised me. That is usually a given these days. The room was a nice size and was well-appointed. There was no maid service because we were only staying two nights. That was also unexpected. We were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, but when we went in, a teenager with crocs on was in it, tons of thick foam, which was dirty as well. When we mentioned it at the front desk, we were told "that's just how it is," As someone who has traveled extensively, that is NOT how how tubs "just are." Finally, while we had a great customer service experience our first night (help with a frozen tv system, and getting extra towels), the next evening we had rude service. We were in a deaf-accessible room by chance and the bright door alarm lights came on. We couldn't figure out how to turn them off. A staff member came up and eventually figured out that it was one of the light switches we hadn't seen. He abruptly left, letting the door slam shut as we were still talking to him. Overall, not the quality experience I expect from the Courtyard brand. "
