"I really enjoyed my stay here -- rooms with beautiful views of the ocean and friendly, helpful staff. On-site parking and a well-executed breakfast were much appreciated. The Hotel is 10 meters from the water and faces west (amazing sunsets!), and super close to the main square and market in town. Folks at the front desk were very patient with my limited Spanish and incredibly supportive when my travel plans shifted. Overall, this is a solid place!!!!"

"Charming and rustic hotel - love the wood craftsmanship and wooden ship details. Beautiful sunset view from the upper loft above the restaurant. Very clean and simple rooms at a price not seen in the USA since about the 1980’s. Food was excellent and breakfast buffet well appointed. Definitely would stay here again if we return to Chiloe."

"This is such a great, cosy place with wonderful, friendly staff. We ended up here at the last minute due to other lodging falling through, and they were super accomodating, getting us checked in early. The rooms are a good size with charming wood-trunk & plank furniture, and the bathrooms are super modern and up to date. "Palafito means house on stilts over the water. This is a lovely one. You can walk to several restaurants on the same level. Going into center of Castro entails a very, very steep walk or use a taxi. This apartment was very well equipped and lovely. See if you can get water view but street view ok. Main problem is that owner, manager is only present at certain hours..she speaks only limited English...is pleasant enough but if she is not present, no one is there to assist you. I would still...

"I really enjoyed my stay here -- rooms with beautiful views of the ocean and friendly, helpful staff. On-site parking and a well-executed breakfast were much appreciated. The Hotel is 10 meters from the water and faces west (amazing sunsets!), and super close to the main square and market in town. Folks at the front desk were very patient with my limited Spanish and incredibly supportive when my travel plans shifted. Overall, this is a solid place!!!!"

"Charming and rustic hotel - love the wood craftsmanship and wooden ship details. Beautiful sunset view from the upper loft above the restaurant. Very clean and simple rooms at a price not seen in the USA since about the 1980’s. Food was excellent and breakfast buffet well appointed. Definitely would stay here again if we return to Chiloe."

"This is such a great, cosy place with wonderful, friendly staff. We ended up here at the last minute due to other lodging falling through, and they were super accomodating, getting us checked in early. The rooms are a good size with charming wood-trunk & plank furniture, and the bathrooms are super modern and up to date. The rooms have lovely views of the water (we started in one and shifted to the bigger room on our 2nd night). The breakfast was robust and they serve dinner if you don't want to head into town. If I had friends in the area, I'd absolutely recommend Cumbres!"
