"The inn keeper took really good care of us. We stayed a couple days before a typhoon was predicted to hit the islands and he was concerned about getting us off the island before it hit, even offering to have a friend take us if needed if the ferries got cancelled. Luckily that wasn’t necessary since the ferries were still operating when we needed them but the kindness and concern he showed was unmatched and won’t be forgotten. "

The breakfast and dinner were always delicious and perfectly cooked. The island was perfect and the beach was close to the hotel. The owner was nice to talk to and we enjoyed every moment there. "Yuumi and her team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome in Aka! They picked us up from the port even though it was a short way which was so helpful with our luggage. Hosei is right on the beach front and you can see the best sunset from here as well as relax in the day. It is so tranquil! We went during New Year and many places on the island were closed but they served food which was very traditional Japanese style. The rooms and shared bathroom/shower were always very very clean. You can wash your clothes with the communal machine which was brilliant. We stayed on Aka for a week and had the best time doing scuba and snorkelling too! Thank you Yuumi and team ☀️"
