This was a very unique property where one could experience what living in an authentic and historic Japanese house would be like. Although the main house was over 100 years old, the maintenance and upkeep made it modern. The actual room had all of the modern features tucked away behind panels. Everything was immaculately clean. The house mother was truly warm and inviting. All of the staff were extremely attentive and helpful without being in the way.

I liked its location. A great location away from the busier areas around the Shin Yamaguchi Station. Great location to get around if you have a rental car. I toured the entire circumference of the Prefecture in two days!

Quiet, clean, and efficient hotel near the nearby shinkansen station. Building is a bit old and outdated, but you are staying here for convenience and price, not luxury. Good value and hard-working staff, including breakfast staff.

The Toyoko Inn was a pleasant business hotel. The location was fantastic. You’re situated right by the Shinkansen station, close to a convenience store and a couple of cafes.
The service is good too. The room was very clean and in good repair.
It’s a business hotel, so it’s small by western standards, but quite adequate.
The price was reasonable too.
