While Van Heusen was writing for Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby in Los Angeles, the ranch became a secluded escape for his inner circle, with guests said to have included Sinatra, Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe, and President John F. Kennedy. Hidden from the Hollywood spotlight, it was a place for late-night music, cold martinis, and the easy glamour of the Rat Pack era. Today, the restored two-bedroom Poolhouse preserves that spirit while pairing its storied past with elevated mid-century design and one of the most extraordinary settings in the High Desert.

Designed around panoramic views and effortless indoor-outdoor living, the Poolhouse opens onto a private swimming pool, stone hot tub, sculptural sunken firepit, covered outdoor kitchen, and al fresco dining area. Multiple lounging spaces invite long afternoons beneath the desert sun, while a two-person swing suspended above the valley offers a front-row seat to the changing landscape. As evening arrives, watch the mountains glow at sunset, gather around the fire as the lights of Yucca Valley appear below, and take in a sky filled with stars from the privacy of your own mountaintop. Nearly every corner of the property captures sweeping, 360-degree views of the surrounding High Desert.

Inside, the open living space feels warm, polished, and deeply connected to the ranch's history. A fully equipped kitchen, generous island with bar seating, and comfortable lounge area create an inviting central space for cooking, gathering, and unwinding.
