This hotel is in an amazing location, the pool was great! We even did a load of laundry before returning home. Will stay here again for sure!

Check in was fast and easy. The staff were terrific. The hot breakfast was delightful and we especially enjoyed the make it yourself waffle stations. The kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and waterslide. Very nice hotel. Would stay there again.

Excellent breakfast. Courteous staff. Quiet. Apparently there are excellent restaurants to the left. We did not have a vehicle. The restaurant we found was clean with good food. Not a large choice

The pool was closed for the majority of our stay only opening the morning we were leaving. Obviously this was out of the hotels hands but the no hot water in our shower was in their hands to fix and it took two days to get that issue resolved.

I was honestly surprised at how great this hotel was. Booking it was a bit confusing the same building is two different hotels (i think). I thought for sure i had booked another dud. I was very wrong. We happened to get a room at the very end of the hallway. We didnt hear people stomping or running past our room in the middle of the night like we usually would anywhere else. My kids loved the pool! They loved the lazy river and the slide. I have 4 kids, the oldest is 12 and she wished the pool was deeper, but you can't please everyone. The room itself was great. We could access our netflix on the tv. The best part was the breakfast. It was huge with every option. It also had a large seating capacity. The guests werent fighting for tables. So to sum this up, it will be at the top of our list for our next stay.

The Duty Manager on 1/13/2024 around 9pm was very rude. I believe his name is Scott but not sure. I made a mistake with my reservation because there was a last minute change of plans. The room was smaller than I was expecting. The sofa bed was not a double sized bed but was probably a twin sized and very uncomfy. I requested to change the room to a double queen sized bed (w/ sofa) from king size (w/ sofa) and I’d be willing to pay for the price difference. The manager said no rooms were available but I talked to the staff prior to speaking to him and was told there were couple of rooms available at residence inn. I said this to the Manager and looked like he felt embarrassed because obviously he wasn’t doing his job. He kept on saying no or the change was not possible because I booked from Expedia. I feel he was racist because he would not even let me finish talking. I was so frustrated so I said in a very soft voice that it was fine (though i wasn’t) but I’m just gonna leave a bad review. So he shouted, started yelling and told me that it was my mistake for booking wrong. He won’t even let me say even a single word. I just can’t explain why I booked a wrong room from the beginning. I guess there is no room for last minute change of plans here. No room for mistake. You have to be perfect. Only the duty manager was perfect. So I just walked out. I had to walk out or I don’t know what else he would do to me.

Great stay with the kids. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was lots of fun. And the breakfast was as delicious! More options than just your standard cereal at a continental.

The hotel receptionist staff was very helpful and friendly. the working staff did an excellent job of their duties. Maybe not as friendly as we have seen at other hotel stays, but they did their jobs of cleaning, etc. with a high degree of commitment. Excellent location to get to other parts of the city without having to deal directly with entering or exiting the busy Portage Avenue. The morning breakfast was excellent, lots of sitting room and the staff working there kept things very neat and tidy.

Our stay on Sept 2nd 2023 was okay, the hotel itself and staff are great but after having a busy exhausting day we were looking forward to come in, just shower and relax.
We had to get the maintenance guy to come fix the tv ( which was fairly quick ) and also the A/C as it was super loud. After he “fixed” it and it still was making noise all night.
We were going to try and relax after the half hour or hour it took, so we went for a shower and the bathroom was super nice but even after changing the options on shower head there was very little pressure.
So we finally showered sat down and started watching a movie.
When we decided to go to bed and turned the lights off we notice we had a beacon from a lighthouse it seemed in our room from the smoke detector and it was super bright also the microwave light was crazy bright. That might not bother some but we usually sleep in super dark rooms. So after I got those covered we tried to go to bed but from the Very soft bed and noisy bed and the A/C making all kinds of noises we did not sleep very well at all and that’s what we needed after a long and very hot day.

The property was difficult to get into. We and other bookings missed the main entrance nd had to go around the block to get back into. Parking was another issue especially driving a truck. The pool was packed and the water temp was too cold for young children.

It has been a very busy time at the hotel with a larger than normal number of vehicles, so our apologies for any inconvenience this caused. The very busy dates with many families staying also can slightly affect the pool temp if requiring to be adding water etc... when it's very busy in that area. Excellent value and location. A great location if you are coming to town on business or back to school shopping. The included breakfast had real food, including proteins. I wish it went one hour longer on weekdays too. We were jetlagged so missed breakfast the first day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our suite was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the parking was not very good; I had to park near Ellice Ave and walk to hotel. More parking spots near the hotel should be available
