We offer modern bedrooms and a shared bathroom, all located within walking distance of the train station, bars, and restaurants. The convenient self-check-in process allows you to arrive anytime after 3 PM. This budget accommodation is the perfect base for an affordable stay in one of Cumbria's most desirable locations. The Space: Room 2 is a first floor en suite double room, you will have access to the bedroom and the attached bathroom. Included at Windermere Central Hotel: Free WIFI Free on-street parking TV Tea and and coffee facilities Towels and soap provided Wardrobe Cafe, bars and pubs only a stone's throw away Guest Access: Private en-suite bedroom in the heart of Windermere, only a two-minute walk from the train and bus station, supermarket, shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. Also, the neighbouring town of Bowness is only one mile away, where you can find Lake Windermere, the Beatrix Potter museum and various other shops, bars and restaurants. For safety concerns, the windows in each room are non-operable due to the building's proximity to the main road and ground-level rooms facing the pavement. Children (under the age of 18) must be supervised by an adult at all times. Pets must not be left in any room unaccompanied and should be supervised at all times. The Neighborhood: Windermere is where you will find an array of café’s, bars, restaurants and quirky independent shops. Closest of all is the well-known Home Ground café, renowned for being the best place to brunch in the whole of the Lake District. Exploration and brunch over, it is then time to head down to Lake Windermere, found on the shores of equally iconic Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can again find more fantastic shopping and a thriving cafe and bar culture for you to enjoy. Rounding your afternoon off, take a leisurely walk along the glebe or, if you're feeling more adventurous a boat ride on one of the many lake cruisers, alternatively, hire a private boat for a more personal experience and live out any sea fairing pirate fantasies you might have had as a child. Getting Around: Parking is on street parking. Windermere Train Station is a short walk away, just a few minutes down the road. The nearest bus stops are those found at Windermere Train Station, Bus Rail Interchange stops that see travel to many of the main routes around the lakes.
