our second stay here and just as good as the last time. the rooms are very well maintained and excellent cleanliness. the owners and staff are great. location is walkable into the main street etc. thankyou!

After travelling around the south island for 2 weeks, this was the best motel accommodation. Managers were do friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable

Great location with lovely owners.
Arrived early and was greeted by owners who were most welcoming. Sorted us a room straight away filled us full of useful information and could not do enough for us. Room clean and comfortable parking outside.Good tv package self catering and laundry. Close to town and walkable and recommend highly.

Excellent choice for 2brm apartment
Great motel, very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Beds were comfy, everything was clean, kitchen was well stocked. Heatpump was great but a little confusing, on a relatively noisy road but earplugs solved that problem.

The new owners have updated many things with quality products. For example, heatpumps and beds/linen. Makes for a very comfortable stay. The high reviews that the motel has got, is certainly well deserved. I definitely recommend staying here.

Well located motel and comfortable apartment
Has become our motel of default when staying at Whanganui. Everything we need and well located for town centre, river and restaurants. A friendly reception and having the heater turned on a cool evening a nice touch.

Comfortable, well-appointed and located
Has become our home from home on visits to Whanganui. The apartment has everything we need and is well located near the centre of town. It's nice to get a friendly welcome too with the heater turned on pre-arrival on a cool evening.

Check in was a pleasure. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They even offered to drop us off for dinner. The accommodation was very clean and beds were comfortable. Location was within easy walking distance to shopping and dining. I would stay here again if I was staying in the area.

The owners were lovely and welcoming. They made sure you had everything you needed. Its walking distance to town. The room was just what we needed. I recommend the Asure Cooks Gardens Motor Lodge to anyone that need a motel to stay at.

The whole complex is very well kept. The unit we stayed in was well maintained and very clean and tidy. A good size, great shower and lovely bed. Nothing is wrong here… a nice quiet AC unit. We will stay again, thanks.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet. Staff lovely and helpful. On site laundry handy for us. Takeaway food outlets and supermarkets as well as town centre close by. Whanganui is a beautiful city/town. Definitely recommend staying at Asure Cooks Gardens Motor Lodge.

Great friendly welcome
We had a great two night stay in a one bedroom unit which was nice and roomy. It was a nice touch having chocolates in the fridge as a welcome treat. We had friends who wanted to leave their car at the motel while we went out to dinner and sightseeing together and Daniel and Carla said it was no problem for them to be allocated a car park next to ours which we appreciated. Would recommend and stay again.

Just a one night stay but staff very accommodating when we asked to change car parks to offer our sports car a bit more protection. Nice little extra touches in the room. Well situated with a short walk to a number of cafes in town for breakfast

It was a roomy unit with everything we needed and a few extras like plunger coffee, welcoming chocolates and spark sport for the cricket. Also located alongside Cook Gardens and close to restaurants and the well-maintained heritage buildings

Although quiet, the bed was so hard we had a terribly broken sleep, the shower leaked, and so did the toilet. In addition, the shower silicone was grotty and there was a big hole in the gib wall. The room's facilities were fine, and it was good to have Netflix and Sky movies. Two little chocolates in the fridge are a nice touch. With some basic maintenance and improved bedding, this place would represent value for money.

Property was very basic and lacked any type of service. They even forgot to service our room for basic items like towels… they make a big deal in the room information sheet about daily room make up and cleaning. Rooms are very noisy, can hear what the room next door is saying and doing very clearly. Heating is poor and very noisy, no heat pumps or any form of cooling. Clean but wouldn’t stay again.
