Travelers need to know that this house does not provide any linens when you rent this property - no bed sheets, pillow cases, or towels - for fewer than 7 days. I have never encountered this before in renting a place, so it came as a bit of a shock. The property managers did give me advice on a local company that will rent linens for around $50 per bed/person, so keep that in mind if you choose to rent this place. That said, the house was great - it had a washer and dryer (someone had left Tide Pods so we didn't haven't to go buy detergent) and nice kitchen with everything we needed. The property managers provided clear instructions and everything was great as far as getting into the house. Some of the lights on the deck were burned out and we didn't use the BBQ or the small gas firepit. The house is tucked back on a small cul de sac and not on a beach or even near the water really (access is a bit of a walk away) and the beach is very rocky anyway and not really suitable for visiting, but you can hear the waves and see a small sliver of ocean from the deck. The house is very cozy and cute. Just be aware that you'll need to drive 5 ish minutes to a sandy beach (and pay for parking) and that you have to either bring your own sheets or rent them and have them delivered. Wells, ME is a very small and quiet town - we drove about 10+ minutes to find restaurants - Batson River on 73 Mile Rd was our favorite - but there is a grocery store and CVS nearby that were really handy.
