"As always, we enjoyed our stay at the Outside Inn. The only issue was that a previous guest had obviously smoked in the suite. It mostly smelled in the kitchen. They probably thought they could open the windows, and nobody would be the wiser. It doesn’t work that way. Once you smoke inside, it is nearly impossible to get the smell out. It’s beyond rude to the proprietor and future guests. That there are grounds with ashtrays makes your selfishness more offensive. We will be back, but probably...

"This place is adorable ! Parking excellent you can park right in front of your room. In the evening they have lovely lights lit up around the building and swimming pool area . It quite lovely , quiet and peaceful! The staff very nice and welcoming ! A variety of food places are located very close to walk to or have delivered ! Enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend Foothills Motel if you’re stopping off in Auburn ! Thank you"

"Good location. Staff was very helpful - I needed additional towels andgot them quick. Breakfast was good, healthy and well stocked and re-stocked. The person who was in charge of breakfast was very attentive to details. Plenty of parking, however if you return to hotel after 9pm, you might have only few selections left a little farther from building. We felt very safe nevertheless."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was well-maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. The location was excellent - within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There were many good choices for the complimentary breakfast. We had a great time and look forward to returning some day."

"This hotel is a true hidden gem. The property was perfect for all our needs in a great location. It’s close to everything yet feels like it’s away from it all. The staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were modern and comfortable with all the necessities. They had live music and we enjoyed the pool. In the morning they have breakfast. It’s definitely the best hotel in the area and worth visiting again."

"I loved it here and I would glady come back. Customer service was very efficient, fast, and friendly. I rented two rooms that were connected to each other. Both rooms were very neat and clean. Our microwave did not work, I called customer service and a nice gentleman brought in a new one immediately. I love the free breakfast. They had hot and cold foods. It was fresh and delicious. I also love the free self parking, the out door hot tub and pool. I love the two sinks in each room. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash made me feel fresh, clean, and smooth. It was quiet and away from the streets. Most of all, I love the extra warm blanket they provide in the rooms for those who get cold easily. My only concern for this place was the maintenance. One of our sink did not drain properly and both of our microwave did not work, but one did got replaced. Thank you Best Western Golden Key for a stressless stay. :D "

"My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. The decor is beautiful. From the intricate wallpaper to the moody art, it set the stage for a memorable stay. We ate dinner at Lola’s and had a drink at the bar. Spectacular! The bed is so comfortable and the room was cozy. The staff was friendly and warm. Can’t wait to return!"

"We spent the night in Nevada City on a quick trip to visit family in Reno. Flume's End is perfectly located near Nevada City's downtown, The room was nice, it is a boutique B&B in a building built around 1860. The bathroom and AC set up were nice. Breakfast was easy and convenient and we would highly recommend."
