« Hôtel de passage se situant sur notre trajet (pour une nuit). Concept original avec cette chambre située dans la cour intérieure d'un pub-restaurant. Hôtel un peu vétuste (mais en travaux), à la limite de la propreté dans les communs mais bonne surprise avec une grande chambre refaite et meublée à neuf. Bonne literie et déco sympa. Petit parking intérieur et terrasse sympa. Petit déjeuner un peu gras, à l'image des odeurs émanant de la cuisine... Un bon rapport qualité pour une nuit. »

« Bon accueil. La chambre au rdc est au calme et propre ainsi que la salle de douche. Le plafond est bas, mais on ne se sent pas opprimé. Nous avons dîné au pub, très beau décors. Nous y avons bien mangé (éviter la purée). English breakfast excellent et copieux, à essayer au moins une fois. Le personnel ne parle pas français, mais très disponible cependant. »

« L’hôtellerie semble être une annexe du pub, ce qui n'est nullement négatif vu le charme de cet établissement historique et de l'accueil sympathique du personnel. L'ambiance y est très bonne, la restauration est de bon niveau et l'ambiance générale, considérant la clientèle, est très "Glastonbury"! Les chambres (du moins au 2ème étage) ne souffrent pas de l'ambiance du pub et le calme est appréciable. »

« A friend and I went to Frome for a wedding, and staying at the Archangel was perfect. It was close to the wedding, shopping and Frome itself was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, the venue had a wonderful series of quiet rooms, eating areas and our room was wonderful. The steel and brass fittings and stone work were beautiful. My one piece of feedback would be for our room; it had narrow steps up to the room which I think would not work for anyone who had disabilities. If the room does...

« We loved staying at this fantastic old pub the staff were great breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. The only 2 things I would change is the bed, it was rock hard and could’ve don’t with a soft top mattress topper to fix this problem, and there was no air conditioner and the room was very hot so a ceiling fan or even a pedestal fan could be in the rooms. Other than that everything else was great. »

« A great stay in a convenient location for myself, wife, and two adult children. Home was easy to find and spotlessly clean. The facilities included two bathrooms (one had a bath but no shower) as well as fast WiFi and a good-sized TV. Communication with the host was always incredibly fast and I even messed up the payment schedule and they were understanding.
