"Check in process and the room were excellent. Bigger double queen was worth the money. Pool was beautiful (although under renovation). Only problems were many unsupervised preteens, which hotel couldnt help. The resturants and their staff were not great. Great room only had 1/3 of the online menu, so disappointing. Breakfast buffet was worth it, although watch for add on costs. Staff at both were cold and unhelpful: no plates for buffet, not child friendly, cleared table before bring boxes."

"My family really loved our summer overnight here! The resort is lovely. We enjoyed the pools, lake swimming and the kayaks, SUPs and pedal boats. A gorgeous setting to relax in. Ordered food from Dancing Bears while we were at the pool - salad, burger, pancakes, sandwich- all were delicious. Location in town is ideal and parking easy. Lovely lake view from our balcony. Felt so happy and grateful for our time spent here. Would definitely stay again."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. They listened carefully to all of our requests and were always happy to help, which made us feel truly welcomed and well looked after. The only minor downside was that the breakfast selection was somewhat limited and could offer a greater variety of dishes. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would gladly recommend this hotel to others."

"We had a very nice 2-night stay. Property was well-maintained. There was a gentleman in the office when we arrived; he was extremely friendly and helpful. Pool towels were available, my kids jumped right in (it was a scorcher of a weekend!) The room was a comfortable temp. We didn’t spend that much time it, just wake-up and go to sleep. The fridge is NOT plugged in when you arrive - just a reminder! Our singular issue was the garbage. No one cleaned our room while we were gone (but that’s stated clearly.) My husband tracked a cleaning person but they didn’t speak English and indicated they had no garbage bags. With 3 kids and eating breakfast in the room, the garbage piled up Pretty quickly; it would’ve been nice for someone to come take it away. Overall, a great place to stay while visiting the Wild Center - just bring your own trash bags!!"

"We had the most wonderful time at Sara Placid. We got a second floor little apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. I was very clean and had nice furniture. We enjoyed the fact that there was dishes in the kitchen we could use as well. The deck overlooks the lake and we enjoyed having coffee outside. The walk around the property is very pretty and there’s things nearby. The only thing that would improve the stay is the cooling. The cooling unit never cooled the room lower than 72 and we like a cold room. It was also a quiet machine so we went out and bought a fan, we like air and noise to sleep. No tv in the bedroom so we slept in the living room but it was like camping out in our own little room and we had a wonderful time, we definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you!"

"What a great stay! We arrived very late so wrote to the staff when booking (in the amenities section) to text us about getting into the cabin so very late, and they did. And getting in was a breeze. Room is cute and cozy. Air conditioning worked perfectly, and so did the hot water for the shower. I assume the bed is a foam mattress, everything was new. Parking right along the cabin. The sink really was difficult to use, but we managed just fine. The WiFi for the TV went in and out, but with patience we were fine."
