"This is my favorite place to stay in the Rice Lake area. It is a charming lodge tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake. Expect beautiful vistas year round. Each room is designed uniquely, several are pet friendly. Each has a view of and access to the lake. The staff/owners are friendly and accommodating. There are complementary non-motorized water activities in the summer and nightly campfires. Breakfast is fruit and a locally baked scone. There is nothing hotel-chain about this place. "

"John and Amy were very hands on from the day I reserved their beautiful house. Questions were answered swiftly. We rented for our snowmobile club trip with what ended up being 10 people. We had plenty of room. The place was clean, beds were very comfortable and had extra pillows available. The towels provided weren't your usual small hotel towels, they were nice , big and absorbent ones, which I appreciated. Highly recommended. The only drawback as a snowmobiler was the distance to anything, such as gas stations or restaurants. The trail is just down the road and easily accessible. "

"My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. Even though it was extremely cold outside, the cabin had plenty of space for us to hang out and have a great time. The hot tub was easily the best part of the whole trip. The owner, Andrew, was also very easy to work with and made everything simple from start to finish. "Staff was great. Clean room. Apparently it was a hockey weekend and kids were running up and down the stairs, hallways up above the rooms in a very difficult to relax. That was my agenda with my daughter was to relax. My daughter is autistic and I was way too stimulating for her. No, I didn’t stipulate that she was autistic. Didn’t know I had to and I shouldn’t have to but that to no one quiet times are 30 below zero kids are in the pool running out the door, half naked and in and out. "
