I had corner unit so I overlooked at Bay great firework show on Friday night from Balcony loud cruisers in evening with blaring music heard all the way up to 16th floor not in properties control, Shopping Ala Moana mall almost attached convenient bridge to walk across with out have to cross streets

The room was decent, albeit dated, with no major issues, other than some street noise on some nights. It is quite expensive for what you get, although I won't hold this against the property too much, as expensive accomodation is obviously the norm in Hawaii. In the grand scheme of things, this is cheap compared to most other properties in Hawaii. Most of the staff were very nice and hospitable, with one exception. One of the male cleaners was quite rude when I was trying to figure out the laundry situation. Essentially, the property only has two washing machines available for guests, to service the entire building. These are hidden away at the back of the property in the staff area. As these washing machines were in use when I went to go use them, the cleaner rudely told me to go away and come back when the cycles were complete. As there is nowhere nearby to wait for the machines to become free, when I came back, someone else had put their laundry in the machine. Once again, the cleaner rudely told me to come back. This system could definitely do with improving, and this cleaner could learn a thing or two about customer service. Overall though, my stay was good, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for budget accomodation in Hawaii. Just be prepared to accept that it won't be the best experience you've ever had, but it will give you a good base to explore Hawaii, especially being based in the central location of Waikiki.
