We'll definitely take a look at how we can improve in that area. Your feedback means a lot to us as we strive to make every aspect of your stay top-notch. To start, we have a small parking lot located behind our hostel that operates on a first come first serve basis. If there are spots available at check-in feel free to purchase a spot for 10 a night. If there are no spots available please know that you are more than welcome to use that lot while unloading your luggage and getting situated at the hostel! For other options, there is ample free street parking located all around our hostel! In the future, please don't hesitate to stop by our front desk reception which is open 24/7 with any parking questions or concerns you may have. Our team is always ready and willing to point guests in the right direction for the easiest parking options in the area. Most nearby parking is 2-hour parking monitored only between 8am-6pm. Aloha Florencia, we appreciate you taking the time to write us a review! We are so happy that you found our staff to be nice and welcoming! However, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the lack of food options in the area. Next time, please let our receptionist know what you're looking for, and they will be happy to provide insights into what the town of Wailuku has to offer. There is a Safeway grocery store just a 15-minute walk away, as well as two smaller convenience stores, each less than a 5-minute walk from our hostel. While some coffee and lunch spots in the area may close early, several restaurants stay open until 9 pm, including the delicious Empanada Lady, Giannotto's Pizza, Umi Maui Sushi, and A Sagion Cafe, all within a 5-minute walk. Additionally, a few bars, such as Esters Fair Prospects, are open until midnight most nights and offer a limited food menu. For beaches, the closest one is Kanaha, only 12 minutes away. There is also a bus stop right by our hostel, and the buses are currently operating for free, easily taking you to nearby beach towns. Wailuku is very centrally located, allowing you to maximize all that you can see during your time here on Maui.
