"My room was in the corner. There was a bright light just outside the window that was shining through the blinds, so it felt like daylight the entire night. It was awful. I had to get a towel from the bathroom to cover my eyes so I could get some rest. There is no overnight staff, so if you have late checkin and discover any issues, there is no one to address those issues for you. The parking lot was a little ways down the street from the property. Poorly lit and across the stress from the gas station. I didn't feel completely safe as there are some homeless and people watching from across the street. Would have preferred closer parking; however, there was the option to park close for luggage dropoff, which was very helpful. I arrived late and left first thing in the morning. I felt the room was overpriced for what I had to deal with--street noise/traffic and the bright light shining in. But it was clean and I'm so happy I thought to cover my eyes with a towel; otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten any sleep. Front desk staff was helpful with tourist information options and there is a nice vibe overall to the premises. "

"For a night in Hana it's ok. Wouldn't want to stay much longer. Room was clean, but outdated and musty. Anya and Frank are a sweet couple that has a beautiful garden. "

"We stayed while the storm was passing through, I believe this was the only place on the road to Hana which had power and water as they are self suffiecient. The gardens were gorgeous and Michael and Terry were very good hosts. The location was exactly as described in the listing."

Despite the terrible weather in Hawaii, they went above and beyond to accommodate us, even offering a complimentary extra night in case we got stuck. Truly thoughtful hosts.
