Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Voinești?
The best area to stay in Voinești is the central area around the Voinești Commune Hall, particularly along the main road, DJ712A, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the region's natural beauty.

This central stretch of Voinești is where you'll find the practical heart of the community. It's a linear village with key services and eateries dotted along DJ712A. The area provides a good base for exploring the surrounding Dâmbovița Valley and the foothills of the Leaota Mountains.

For couples looking for a tranquil escape, staying near the edges of the central area, perhaps a little off the main road, can be quite appealing. Here, you'll find accommodations that offer more privacy and direct access to the scenic landscapes, great for walks through the orchards or along the nearby rivers.

Families will find the central part of Voinești practical due to its proximity to any local shops or small parks.
When is the best time to go to Voinești?
The best time to visit Voinești is during the spring and autumn months, specifically from May to June and September to October.

These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the natural beauty and outdoor activities Voinești and the surrounding Dâmbovița County have to offer. The landscapes are particularly picturesque during these seasons, with blooming flowers in spring and the vibrant colours of autumn foliage.

For couples seeking a relaxing and scenic getaway, late spring is an excellent choice. The orchards are in full bloom, creating a romantic backdrop for walks and enjoying the local produce. You can enjoy strolls through the countryside or visit nearby historical sites without the extreme heat of summer or the chill of winter.

Solo travellers looking for outdoor adventures will find autumn particularly appealing. The cooler, crisp air is superb for hiking in the nearby Carpathian foothills.
