"Such a friendly, laid back vibe in a beautiful setting! It had an incredibly warm social environment that was the product of a strong vision and a great team on staff to foster that kind of spirit. Impeccably well-organized operation at check-in, check-out and meal-times. Beautiful beaches, reefs and hill top views. Wonderful dive center with kind staff giving great marine biology talks and tours in addition to snorkel and scuba trips. Great meals. Such an easy place to make to new friends, but also easy to find quiet solo time at. Just the best--would absolutely stay here again."

"antastic place to spend your time. Mantaray Island about 3.5 hours from the main island in Fiji in the Yasawa Island group, is a beautiful little hamlet of paradise. I spent 5 nights in a Reef Bure (With AC) an was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and general upkeep. The outdoor bathroom is an absolute highlight with its 3 different light/mood settings at night. The Bure itself was also only 12 step from the beach with its beautiful torquay blue water. Great snorkeling is on offer straight off the beach (High tide only) and a lovely hotel pool for low tide. The Restaurant served amazing meals on a set menu that changed every 2 day’s (B,L,D) and during the day you can swap your lunch meal for a pizza by the pool if you like, the resort also offers diving (Which I didn’t do this time) and a Spa that offers a limited but good range of massages. The Hotel is a cashless hotel, so you don’t need to have a wallet full of cash like I had. Overall this is a very good 4 star operation in the Yasawa group, and I am definitely looking to come back in July-September next year when the Mantaray swim past the Island. "

"Our stay was amazing from start to finish. We had lovely accommodation with great amenities and especially enjoyed the double-headed outdoor shower – such a treat. The beachfront was absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water just like you’d imagine on a paradise-like island in Fiji. We celebrated a birthday while we were there, and the little extras – the decorated room and the restaurant serenade – made it feel really special. And the food… delicious every single time. We’d go back in a heartbeat."

"Ocean View is a must-stay homestay for anyone looking to experience true Fiji time. As a solo traveler, the room was perfect — clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Vil and Paola took amazing care of me and always made sure I was comfortable. While the food was a bit pricey, the portions were massive as long as you are an adventurous eater — depite this I never finished a full plate! I was the only traveler on the island during my stay, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and led to some of the most meaningful experiences of my trip. I met many locals, learned about village life, and truly felt welcomed. I highly recommend attending the Sunday church service and joining the village-wide community lunch — it’s a beautiful way to connect and experience a full day of rest in true Fiji style. There’s an incredible reef just outside the school and a beautiful sandbar just a short walk and swim from the homestay. I also went handline fishing and snorkeling with sharks — both included in a single 50 FJD trip that was well worth it. I also recommend buying souvenirs from them — the prices were much better than anything I saw in Nadi, and you know the money supports the village directly, not a scam. If you’re after adventure, culture, and connection, Ocean View should be at the top of your list. 6/5 stars!"
