Apartment is small for 3 people but it had everything we needed for our stay. It is so central you don't need to use the water buses which are very expensive. Walk out the door and take a Gondola ride. Open the windows and hear the chatter of the cafe across the canal or gondola's going by your bedroom window. 5 minute or so walk to water transportation so access to outlying islands and other parts of Venice is no problem. Took a minute for me to relax at this place though. The kitchen sink and bathroom shower were rusty, the bedding was clean but the bed itself is super outdated and squeaks with every move, there’s a shower curtain over the cleaning supplies in the bathroom and everything looks dusty and dirty which doesn’t make you feel the best about sanitation for the place, basically no storage for belongings in the bathroom. Furnishings were very shabby and beds must have been 30 years old. Very uncomfortable place and if a comfortable bed is important to you, don't select this apt. Asked host if we could store our luggage at apartment between check out and 3 pm, 4 hours. ( we would not have been in apartment while it was being cleaned). Host said no and storing luggage on Venice is difficult at best. We had to cancel our plans that day to babysit luggage. First time in 30 years using VRBO that I had a bad experience. ##### Marcia G.
