Peacefully positioned in the refined, palazzo-packed parish of San Samuele close to the Grand Canal in the district of San Marco, and flooded with light as befits its name along with an elegance that reveals its owners’ taste and designer’s talents, the apartment sleeps 6 within the top 2 floors of the property reached by stairs.   
  
Crowned with a furnished ‘altana’ roof terrace \* all of your own enjoying exceptional vistas across the surrounding terracotta rooftops to some of Venice’s most iconic landmarks including the domes of Salute and St. Mark’s Campanile, Ca’ Della Luce offers the convenience and comfort of Wi-Fi and air-conditioning throughout while an interplay of choice linens and velvet, Farrow & Ball wallpapers, custom-built furnishings and well-chosen upholstery breathes life into its traditional framework.   
  
Following hot on the heels of our popular Ca’ Dell’ Opera, accommodation commences on the 3rd floor and comprises:   
  
\- A spacious sitting/dining room dressed in a cool and classic palette of muted neutrals brightened by splashes of teal and Tiffany blue against a backdrop of white painted beams and burnished wooden parquet.

Important: please note that the apartment only accepts fully supervised children over 6 years of age or under 1 year (non-walking babies) because of the internal stairs, ‘altana’ rooftop terrace.

A comfortable and light-filled beacon of style with a fabulous ‘altana’ in San Samuele.   
  
Rubbing shoulders with some of the city’s most coveted residential addresses and ideally placed for the first time or regular visitor to Venice who appreciates peaceful surroundings yet who’d like to stay close to many of Venice’s star attractions.   
  
Within a stone’s throw of the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art, and within moments of several osterie, the outdoor cafes of Campo Santo Stefano, a wine shop, a local grocery/delicatessen, plus a well-stocked Punto supermarket just a little further on.   
  
Seconds to the area’s antique shops and galleries including that of interior designer Chiarastella Cattana - a discreetly sophisticated showroom of fine and distinctively woven textiles and furnishings and, for scent-lovers, the Venice outlet of the famous Florentine ‘Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’ - one of the oldest pharmacies in the world and one time fragrance maker to Catherine de’ Medici.   
  
Also close to two vaporetto (water bus) stops - San Samuele and Sant’ Angelo - for foot-friendly exploration of the city, and moments to the local ‘traghetto’ at Garzoni which, during operating times, ferries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to San Toma in the district of San Polo.

\*\* Are you a part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer several apartments in very close proximity: Ca’ Grassi 1, Ca’ Grassi 2, Ca’ Grassi 3, Ca’ Del Teatro, Ca’ Dei Colori 1 and Ca’ Dei Colori 2   
  
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.   
  
Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. The possibility of turning a double bed into twins or vice versa can be found in the description and must be requested at least 7 days before arrival.

Our group was two couples and we were very comfortable staying in this apartment. The hosts made everything very easy, from getting to and from the apartment and checking in to information about the area. Everyone was very thorough and helpful. The apartment itself was very nice, with comfortable bedding, fully stocked kitchen and nice bathroom amenities. It was a lovely base from which to explore Venice.

This apartment is up a bunch of stairs but it is totally worth it for the view and the terrace. The AC worked fantastic and it is a short walk to the Ferry. It is centrally located walking distance to every site you would want to see in Venice. I will book this place again in the future.

The place was a very nice space for 6 adults. It was comfrtable to relax and thr rooftop patio had a beautiful view of the town. It was nice to be able to do laundry and cook. The host was very helpful with arranging a water taxi to the airport. The air conditioning in the rokms was perfect. If i ever come back to Venice - ill stay here again.

From the moment we booked, the staff was in constant contact with us regarding check in/check out and any assistance we needed. They booked us a water taxi and had someone waiting for us the moment we docked. We were shown the property and given info about the local area. The flat was so lovely, clean and bright, with extremely comfy beds in all rooms. It was in a quiet neighbourhood, but being Venice, it was still close to most everything else. I can't recommend the flat, or Views on Venice, enough.

From the outset the communication was excellent and even booked us water taxis for arrival from train station and to the airport when we left. Met at the taxi drop off and taken to the apartment and reviewed all information with us and great suggestions of where to go. Apartment was exactly as described and spotlessly clean and plenty room and space for our family of 5\. Wonderful location to explore Venice and couldn’t recommend it more highly! We’d love to come back!

What a great city to visit. This flat is in a lovely neighborhood. Everything you could ask for was close by. It was easy to check in and out. The assistance with water taxis and porters was most appreciated. The flat has had all the accoutrements. It is not for anyone that cant do stairs.

Enrica was lovely and very helpful. She booked us a water taxi to the train station and gave us restaurant recommendations. The apartment was delightful. Very comfortable. Lots of stairs to get in, but worth it. Great location. Tub shower very slippery— be careful. Also, it took us a day to figure out that we didn’t need to open the apartment door with a key to get out— we just had to press a button. All in all, I am sorry we weren’t there longer. If we return to Venice, I would definitely stay there.

Venice was the first stop for our family of 5 for a 9 day trip to Italy. We couldn't have asked for a better way to arrive -- the apartment host greeted us at the water taxi stop (they had instructed us on how to get there and helped arranged transport from the airport) and walked us to the apartment. I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise so this was a welcome treat!The apartment had everything we needed and was very cozy and comfortable. It's on a quiet alley so you're not in the middle of the tourist action (which we loved) but everything is a quick walk away and Campo San Samuele is right around the corner for gelato, a meal or a glass of wine. The hosts were wonderful - responded to all of our inquiries right away and helped with anything we needed. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be passing this listing on to friends! - General note -- 2 flights of narrow steep stairs to get to the apartment. Didn't bother us at all but good to know if you have a lot of luggage.

Perfect for a family of five. Very clean and comfortable. A market is very close and great eating options are at the local square that is less than a five minute walk. Had a really good casual/traditional meal at Osteria Alle Botteghe which is only a few minute walk. Quiet neighborhood but less than 10 minute walk to San Marco Square.

We loved our stay! The property was just as described and the check-in process was super smooth. We absolutely loved the location. It was nice and quiet but so close to shops and restaurants. The property manager arranged a water taxi to pick us from the train station and take us to the airport, this was so helpful as this was our first time in Venice. The property was clean and nicely decorated and the rooftop patio was an extra bonus. We will definitely be back!

Clean and well presented property with everything needed for an adult family of 5\. Close to San Stefano Square with a number of good eateries, near the Academia bridge and less than 15min walk to San Marco and to Rialto. We could see the New Years fireworks from the apartment's cute rooftop balcony! Simply delightful apartment.
