"Overall Austria is expensive for visitors from the U.K.But it was possible to live within a reasonable budget by shopping at some of the better supermarkets. "We were collected from the station by Rene and taken to the hotel on the outskirts of Velden. We were upgraded to a larger room with efficient Wifi ( important for us as we run a business). Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the lake and distant hills. The hotel was quiet, but all the facilities were available.
