Great condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is larger than it looks on line. The living room area is huge! The condo was great. There was so much in the kitchen to cook with, it a pleasure. It would be in a wonderful location if there is snow and that side of the mountain is open. It wasn’t when we were there, so it is a bit of a pain to get onto the mountain. If not skiing, the walk is easy into the village. Great garage parking. I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay here was flawless. The view from the living room and main bedroom is incredible. Everything is clean. There’s plenty of room to fully unpack for the week and make ourselves at home quickly. Steve and Kim have thought of everything little detail and we felt very taken care of in this space. Our kids especially loved their separate room with a tv and their own bathroom space too. The pool area is clean and relaxing for the kids and adults. To have the easy access and walk to Tigertail beach is priceless. We made fun memories as a family and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Great Condo Close to Vail Village

Although the condo was a little outdated, the building amenities were great. It was only a 5 min walk to Golden Peak lift and only a few more minutes into Vail Village. My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Northwoods condo and would definitely come back.

Large, comfortable, light-filled living area, with plenty of windows providing cross breezes. Wide balcony. Well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable master bedroom. Plenty of twin beds and bathrooms. Not recently updated but fine. Located in a quiet area on the far east side of Vail.

Great location

The good: condo is big with great views & super convenient to Golden Peak. It was very clean and check in was easy. We have always had a good experience with Vail Management. Opportunities for improvement: some of the condo is very dated. I don’t mind the aesthetics but when knobs are falling off drawers and wallpaper is peeling off the wall, it’s time for an update. The kitchen is very small & the owners have locked up most of the cabinets. I had to climb on the bar stools to reach the dishes. Basic kitchen supplies are also missing such as measuring cups. Overall, this worked okay for my family of 5 but I will look elsewhere for future rentals.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Northwoods is perfect for families with kids in ski school. This is the third year we’ve stayed at this property and 1st time in this condo. The highlights are underground parking & easy access to mountain on skis. Unfortunately the lift the adults use to go up mountain from Golden Peak was down the entire time so access was not good for us this trip. We dropped kids off and walked to gondola. Indoor ski locker was convenient. We have had one outside before which was less convenient. Cons- kitchen is tiny and many cabinets/closets throughout condo are locked. As a Family of 6 who eat in most nights, this was a little tight. I will say the kitchen was stocked with all kinds of kitchen equipment. It’s a country mile to walk around grounds to get to golden peak. We’ve been in the Spruce building and there garage walks out to main road. Many times we just walked up bunny hill to get to our unit since that was a straight shot. It would be nice to get access to sneak out Spruce exit but we were told not to talk to Northwoods management as we went through Vail MGMT company. Our 83 year mother fell coming into driveway. Thank god she only got a fat lip. The inner sidewalks aren’t heated so it can be a bit of an obstacle course walking around grounds if you have elderly people. The living area was large, comfortable and had glorious views of the mountains. The decor is dated but the price seems fair for all all the space, The pool is never open during our spring break stay so we expected that but it would be really nice to have that option.One final note: Our fridge was not cooling well and so we called management hotline, they never called us back. Eventually the fridge cooled down enough so that our meat wouldn’t spoil but not real great customer service. I would also like to note the code was printed incorrectly on the paperwork, which also caused

The kitchen equipment was old and not in good shape. The nonstick pans were anything but. The heated pool is closed for winter but the hot tub, sauna and steam room were clean and nice. Ski in and ski out was unbeatable. Mike from Vail staff was friendly and professional. He made us feel more welcome than the owners or Northwoods management. The mountain operations were without peer...although the food prices are so outrageous you just have to laugh.

The good—great ski in/ski out location, nice updated ski locker room a short elevator ride down one floor, updated pool/hot tub area with locker rooms. The common areas of this condo are clean and recently updated. Check in process was very smooth with an app and the management company even called me to make sure I received their email and was able to download the app prior to check in. The unit was spacious for 6 of us, and had a newer sectional for comfy seating. The bad—this unit needs its decor updated and needs to be cleaned out. There are Knick knacks all over the place and way too much furniture. The owners personal belongings take up half of the dresser drawers in one of the bedrooms, half of the master bedroom closet space, and the drawers out in the kitchen and shelves/drawers in the family room are full of random STUFF. Needs to be cleaned out if you’re renting the unit out, and in my opinion would be nice to stock some of the common area shelves with board games or books. Also needs regular maintenance—it seems as if a bandaid is slapped on when there’s an issue instead of fixing the actual issue. The bed railing on the bunk bed was so loose it actually fell off while my son was sleeping. The doorstop popped off the wall (looked like layers of paint and caulk were trying to hold it on), lightbulbs need to be replaced and some of the lamps have cords so old it really looks like a fire hazard. There are extension cords and power strips all over the place. Also, the internet was down the last two days of our stay.

Wonderful property with a great location

We loved this property and will come back. It is walking distance to the slopes and the town bus. Very easy for us traveling with 5 kids whose ages are 5-9. We enjoyed the hot tub and the workout room too! Would recommend to anyone.
