Low key creepy… There was no free airport pickup (as suggested)—we had to pay. No running water, no toilet seat, bugs in the sink, no electrical outlets and very cold.
We were also asked to pay twice.
On the positive they fed us a nice breakfast. "

Gary and I had an excellent experience staying at Korona House during our visit to Arusha. We were able to use Korona house as a base during various activities, confidently leaving valuables in safe keeping while hiking Kilimanjaro. Quick laundry service before heading out on the next adventure. Nicely presented and tasty meals, with great service from Joseph, Innocence and Gerrald, and Chas, the manager were friendly and supportive in our attempt to learn some basic Swahili. If you are...

We found the villa to be decent, it was probably one of the cleaner places we stayed at while in Africa. The staff can communicate in English enough to understand your needs. It is quite remote though, so if you're planning to commute to and from city centre, you have to walk a good 10-15 min before you can catch a dara dara to town (which should only cost 400 shillings). Oh and it is also quite far away from the airport, so it cost us around $30 USD to get there even with some extreme...

It was a great stay. We arrived around 9pm, but we were able to order a meal.
Fridge available with reasonable prices for drinks.
Good breakfast. Since we didn't fly out until that evening, we could rent the room longer $3 per hour, or stay in the common area. We requested toasted tomato sandwiches for lunch and were accommodated.
Easy and relaxed atmosphere.
