Property was clean. Very basic room. Upgrade to ocean front/view for sure. Front desk staff and male security kind. The female security guard was intrusive and did not appear to like people. There is a long lost of rules once you check in. Absolutely no eating any food or beverages of any kind on the hotel premises only in your room unless you purchase food or beverages from them then you can. You can't even sit in lobby...and the female security will threaten police. THIS made me feel unwelcome and I will never book again. Zero fun here way too intrusive. Better to go elsewhere.

The staff made me feel fantastic and made my birthday weekend fun. The waitstaff at the pool and the bistro were great. The massage, mud wrap, and facial I received were just what I needed. The property was beautiful. I’ll definitely go back.

The place was nice when we arrived. There was an issue with our room. We did not have electric electricity for about two hours when we arrived. We arrived there at 4 PM and the power was out due to some construction and it was not back on till 6 PM. The staff was pretty good they would follow up. The only thing that I disliked was the pushy sales tactics regarding a presentation that takes about two hours with a breakfast and they try to throw in some perks like a discounted massage. You have to be plain and just tell them no unless you are interested in the presentation besides that the hotel was in good shape. It was very clean. The butler was very good. He would reach out to me a couple times per day. Also, our Jacuzzi was not working for about a day. I did contact them about that and they did send somebody to fix it. It was pretty fast, but I’ve stayed at many five star resorts and never experienced anything like this with the no electricity and then the Jacuzzi not working, but besides that the place is definitely good but I would go back and maybe try another one. The sister resort is maybe a five minute trolley ride and you can see the ocean or be in the ocean, but the beach there is not very nice. It has a lot of rocks.

We were greatly impressed with the friendly service of all the staff at Villa La Estancia. The restaurants had delicious food plated so perfectly along with outstanding servers. I highly recommend the steak tenderloin at La Casona as well as the shrimp enchiladas at El Patron at the sister resort Villa Del Palmar. The pool service was amazing…Jésus and his team were very friendly and quick to make sure our seats had towels and that we had what we wanted whether that be shade or sun, a pool or ocean view. The bartenders at the swim up bar were friendly and willingly accommodated special requests…the food servers work so hard and were always ready to take a drink or food order and to deliver it quickly. Our rooms were always cleaned well and they have such a nice touch by providing a turn down service around five or six o’clock when they also refresh the bathroom with towels. We also really enjoyed the opportunity to play pickleball. We would highly recommend this resort as we feel you get high quality service staying here. We think the price is worth the value of what you experience here.
