The home itself overlooks Lake Arenal, and is surrounded by a tropical rain forest. Each morning two amazing toucans would be in the tree right beside the balcony. We watched them eat, and we were able to get beautiful pictures of them. Many other birds and critters also were sighted from the balcony. The house itself is a work of art built over 25 years by the owner himself. Each morning we feasted on a fabulous full breakfast (included in the price), made by Mar and another young woman. They made us fruit smoothies, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruits- really- a scrumptious feast! They also cleaned the house each day. Patrick was so helpful in helping us choose and reserve the activities we did each day. (Plus he would make sure the hot tub was heated by the time we returned.) It was a pleasure to talk with him and learn about the area. Each evening we all enjoyed the common living area where we read, some watched football, worked on a puzzle, etc. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for a longer time!
