"Perfect Experience. Staff at reception when we arrived was super nice. She went out of her way to help us with plates and lighter (as we wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday), so was super happy with her. Same for breakfast, we were only 2 people in that hotel for that night (due to off season) but had full menu prepared for breakfast. Which says a lot about the standard this hotel is maintaining. Very welcoming kitchen staff as well. This is definitely our go-to hotel for any future visit to...

"Perfect hotel for skiing as it’s next to the Gondola. It has a great sauna with amazing views which would have been even better with a plunge pool or cold bucket. The only slight downside was the beer in the hotel was a lot more expensive than the bars in Voss. We didn’t have breakfast or dinner so can not rate the food. This is our second stay and would come again. Great value hotel. "

"Very friendly and courteous staff! It was cold outside but the room was lovely and cozy warm. Nice dinner and my breakfast was included. It is right next to the ferry dock in Gudvangen. In the morning, after breakfast I walked over to the Viking Village and did a tour there… very interesting and worth doing. The bus stop was no more than a 10 minute walk from Fjordtel and I jumped on the bus to Bergen. Thank you for your hospitality Gudvangen Fjordtel!"

"The hotel lobby and restaurant have a charming view (water front), but the room facilities feels renovation needed, such as only one clothes hook inside the bathroom was loosened, water flowed allover after shower, toilet roll was hard to reached (80cm away)…etc. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not high enough"

"This was a great location with friendly staff and amenities. Breakfast was simple but good. We were able to rent kayaks. Would definitely stay here again. However, there is another much nicer hotel located closer to the heart of town that has a much more affordable sauna (about $10 USD vs $40 USD per person) that has a better view and restaurant. Pricing between the two is comparable, so if the other location has availability it is a better option than this location."
