"Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. "

"Highly recommend this hotel lovely friendly staff on-site car park has chargers for electric vehicle vehicles. Fantastic spa and swimming pool food was superb in the two restaurants. It’s right at the south of Lake Windermere so literally you can walk over to the ferry to do a ferry cruise to Ambleside or Bowness on Windermere Winder - it also has an aquarium and a steam train during the summer month. We didn’t bring our dog, but it is a dog friendly Hotel you really enjoyed our stay and already planning on bringing the dog for another trip "

"Absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment we stayed in was immaculately clean, really well presented with a well equipped kitchen. Bathroom was spotless, the shower was brilliant! Convenient parking opposite and located in the centre. Great place to visit, with lovely shops, bars, cafes and restaurants round the corner! We would recommend to anyone looking to visit Ulverston.
