Our hotel didn’t have a kitchen, but definitely wanted to cook up some of our finds during the morning market at the same location until around 9am. Also, usually in Bali, “Traditional Market” means food - more ingredients vs ready-to-eat which is later in the evening. Ubud doesn’t do a late evening market with ready-to-eat, unlike other areas of Bali. The “Art Market” that starts a bit after the morning market is mostly full of low quality souvenirs.
Vendors can quite aggressive-be sure to haggle on prices-starting at least a third of what they are asking to start.
