Staff was very unfriendly and did not provide clean towels or sheets for the second night. Rather they gave us a mop to clean the water in the bathroom. It is a wonderful place to stay! It is also important to know that there is no sign on the outside of the building up on the highway. The maps program will get you to the right place - just ring the bell of the door that looks like a private house.

Staying at the hotel was a wonderful, relaxing experience throughout the entire four nights we were there. The owners and staff were very friendly, caring and helpful in organising local trips during our stay. The Mexican cooked breakfasts were superb - a great start to the day. The traditional room we booked was beautiful, spacious with hand painted tiles and sink in the bathroom. There was ample space to sit out on the veranda to pass the time overlooking the gorgeous gardens. Happily there...

It's a beautiful old hotel in the central square in Patzcuaro. It is within walking distance of everything and it was beautifully appointed with all the modern needs. The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor was so charming. Old carvings and furniture lined the hallways and the Day of the Dead flowers were still up even though we arrived on the 5th . The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We had a wonderful time and will stay here again.
