The house and the service were the worst we’ve ever experienced in Vrbo. Or at any lodging for that matter.
Our messages to the host regarding check-in were ignored for hours; finally, we had to call the number provided and speak with the property manager who sent us the check-in information over text, outside of the app.
When we arrived at the house, it was clear that it hadn’t been fully cleaned. The floor was unswept, with stains, footprints, and hair all over. There was hair all over the master bathroom. The bath mat was visibly dirty. Many of the dishes had mysterious residue on them. The leather sofa was covered in dust so thick that we could leave handprints. The bedding in the master bedroom obviously hadn’t been changed - there were hairs in the sheets and mascara smeared on the pillowcase.
We took photographs and called the person who had given us the check-in information. She was unhelpful, just saying “oh the cleaning girl is usually so good, I’ll let her know, that’s not cool.”
Nothing was done to address any of this. We ended up leaving & still haven’t heard anything from the host to address our complaints. In fact, the host keeps sending us messages as if everything was wonderful, not acknowledging any of our communications with her property manager or the messages we’ve sent her on the app. It’s bizarre.
The whole thing was a terrible experience, from start to finish.
