Fabulous house for fishing, walking or skiing. Two minutes from the Tongariro

Welcome to our warm and comfortable holiday home which is located on Taupahi Rd, Turangi. It's the perfect location for fly-fishing, skiing, hiking, biking or just a relaxing weekend by the fire.

The house has an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen which is kept warm by the log-burner fire. The well equipped kitchen has a gas hob, double oven and a well stocked pantry. The three bedrooms have plenty of warm bedding and can sleep up to 6 people.

Enjoy endless hot water from the infinity gas hot water system to warm you up after a day skiing or on the river.

The garden is flat, private and sunny with room to park 2 cars off the street.

This is a pet friendly house. Your well behaved dog is welcome to stay but please note the section is not fully fenced so only suitable for dogs who don't roam. Please enquire about bringing your pet.

Glorious spot for a getaway
At the risk of making it harder to book next time, this is an absolute gem of a property in a beautiful setting, close to the river and walks, with easy access to Tokaanu hot pools, the lake, the many local walks. Perfectly presented and immaculate, with a well appointed kitchen and everything you need for a family getaway. Recommended!

My parents and I loved this little house. Beautiful yard with a sunny patio to enjoy happy hour. Being close to Tongariro NP was the main purpose for choosing to stay here. it was a great retreat, very comfortable beds, all the amenities you need. And we loved the quietness of the street and the town. Highly recommend staying here!!

Beautiful home and garden on a gorgeous street walking distance to groceries and a pub and a cafe. We were here for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and with a car it worked perfectly. Clean and well equipped with a lovely deck and garden to enjoy a post hike drink in the sun. Loved it. Five stars all the way!

Great bach and hosts!
We were impressed by how amazingly well this bach was prepared for our stay. Incredible attention to detail! Our family had a few fabulous days in the Turangi area and did our first Tongariro Crossing. The hosts were so nice to help us find a dog sitter for the day. We will be back!

Family reunion
The 3 bedroom house has a very well equipped kitchen, washing and drying facilities and comfortable beds. Being close to the Turangi River Walk the days started and ended with walks along the river watching the fishermen, tuis and Whio in flight. The communication with the host was very easy and friendly. Thank you for letting us stay.

Your home away from home
Our family enjoyed our stay here and hope to return soon. The photos don’t do this property justice, as it is really spacious inside and out, the rooms were super cozy and had everything to keep you comfortable as Paula and Tim have it so well equipped for your stay. You pretty much just have to turn up with your suitcase, thank you for the great communication throughout our stay and providing such a clean and tidy property.

Cosy well appointed weekend stay
Very cosy, and great for four friends catching up. It rained a lot so not much walking, but it is near to the river and the Turangi's shopping area is only a couple of blocks away. . We felt it was very thoughtfully equipped, the kitchen especially so. All clean and well laid out throughout. We would definitely like to return.

This house was perfect for our stay in Turangi. Easy to walk to the river or into town for supplies. Also a great base to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing hike. Easy check-in and out, cooking supplies, and a nice back yard for relaxing.
