"After battling crowds in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima, Miyajima and the Hotel Miyajima Villa were just what the doctor ordered. So much that as soon as we checked in for a two-night stay, we extended by an additional night. Ideally located just steps from the ferry and a short walk to the island's attractions, the hotel is immaculate, comfortable and staffed by very helpful, courteous staff. The buffet breakfast got each day off to a good start and our afternoon soaks in the top floor onsen were a great way to get rid of the kinks. "

Great Japanese style hotel (ryokan)

"They picked up our luggage at the ferry port. That allowed us to do some sight seeing before the check-in. When we were ready to go to the hotel, the tourist information center helped to call the shuttle again. The place was absolutely clean. Our room was spacious with a view. Dinner and breakfast service was awesome. Dinner was served in the room by a very nice lady who explained all the courses in the multi-course menu before leaving us to enjoy the meal and returned just in time with the dessert. We also enjoyed the onsen. It was next to a small garden. We were given yukatas on arrival. Overall a very relaxing and memorable experience. "

"This is probably the nicest property in this sleepy old town of Iwakuni. I gave it 5 stars because it was nicer than anything around. It was clean and more than sufficient AND the public bath was a HUGE plus. It was modest, but clean and comfortable. "
